Speaking Out

Just feeling as though I would write about something different today. Besides just politics, the economy, and art. Today the subject is about  a sports activity that I saw a few  people playing  and the characters that were playing the game. The young adults were ranging in age from about 18 to 28 years old. One character an extreme downhill mountain biker, another character known to hit the ski slopes as often as he possibly could. The next we will call Jim who actually has a very similar resemblance to "Billie Idol," and another character who is one tough girl we will call Jacky.Z who is also an avid snowboarder, mountain bike enthusiast as well.
This brings me back to the sport, so I am watching this group of young adults actively play a game, and having an extreme amount of fun, and playing something similar to soccer with a little ball, a hockey stick, and rolling about on skateboards. I decided to ask them the name of the game they were playing and they all seemingly at once replied, "well because it is a cross between hockey, and skateboarding, so we call it skabockey." So being a curious person I felt the compulsion to ask does this help keep you active, and in shape? Does this help keep your balancing skills for snowboarding and the hand eye coordination tuned, with that tiny ball to keep from hitting a rock while riding down the side of a mountain? The reply was not anything like that at all.
The reply was "oh heck no we just play this for fun,' with elated enthusiasm and  the extensional ism of their basic athletic skills the game was played with the same intensity that you would see with a professional hockey game played, or a downhill snowboard competition. This game appeared to be entertaining to the audience full of questions, and a lot of fun for the player's. The character's and their athletic stories will not end here I am sure.

Folk Art an eclectic art that has become an ideal collectible to add to a collection, or any home. Folk Art appears to take on a life, and style that is truly collectible. Skimming through Face book pages recently, noticing many eye catching pieces of Folk Art thinking what a wonderful tradition. The particulars shown by the artisan's do certainly portray life like art. Especially interesting are the folk art dolls, with their delicate attention to detail and delicate attire. The dolls not only seem highly collectible, but almost as the doll is alive, and full of history, and love. The dolls do leave a lasting impression with each person who views them. The vibrant imagination of the artist brings the art to life, in a lasting precious manner.
